Seahawks Shuffle

We used to be good... we really did. Remember when the Hawks made it to the Superbowl back in 2006? Okay, bitter memories for Seattle fans but still- we were there!

And we haven't been back since. Every year since then the Seahawks have become progressively worse, and now when we look at the roster, it looks like we need a total revamp. It started with the coach just a few months ago.

Goodbye Jim Mora (after 1 season!), and helloOOOooo USC Trojans Football Legend Pete Carroll.
Matt Hasselbeck (Starting QB) is still on the team, but 2 days ago they sent our back-up quarterback packing. Considering Hasselbeck has not played an entire season in full due to injuries since 2005, it's likely that we will be picking up a Quarterback in the draft.

Here are the top 2010 Quarterback draft picks:

1) Jimmy Clausen (Notre Dame)
2) Sam Bradford (Oklahoma)
3) Colt McCoy (Texas)
4) Tim Tebow (Florida)*

* You might recognize Mr. Tebow from all the controversy surrounding his Superbowl commercial last month.




Tim Tebow came to work out with Seahawks this week, so that might actually be a possibility though everyone is of course concerned with his passing style. It worked for him in the college arena clearly (i.e. Heisman Trophy) but people sometimes underestimate the sheer talent in the NFL where every player is Heisman Trophy caliber.

Considering that the Seahawks have both the 6th and 14th picks in the 2010 Draft they are in a good position to pick up some very valuable players.

Of course with all this shuffling, and trading I asked Chris what he would think if Reggie Bush (current Running Back for New Orleans Saints; formerly coached by Pete Carroll at USC) joined the Seahawks.

C: "Uh, absolutely no way. That is NOT happening."
L: "Well why not, they are talking about it being a possibility?"
C: "Well I don't want it to happen."
L: "Why not?"
C: "Because then after every home game you're going to ask if I saw Kim Kardashian there."
L: "Well duh. "
