Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Of course I couldn't let this day slip by without acknowledging such a great holiday. Are YOU wearing green today? (It's okay, I'm not... didn't go with my work ensemble today).
How will you be celebrating tonight? I will be celebrating by going to bed promptly at 10:00pm tonight. I know, P-A-R-T-Y. This is what happens when you work full-time: you're tired by 7:30pm, cranky by 9, and have to be in bed by 10pm or you will want to shoot yourself in the face next morning.
St. Patrick's Day was infinitely cooler in college when you had all the perks of being of age and partaking in green beer festivities, but didn't really have any obligations the next day. AND, college kids were smart: our big, St. Patrick's Day hoopla was always celebrated at the bars the Saturday BEFORE the actual said holiday. Why don't we do that as adults? I mean helllOOoooOOooo. And for that matter, why can't St. Patrick's Day just always fall on a Saturday every year anyways?
Here's to St. Patrick's Day 2012 (the next time the holiday falls on a Saturday and I can really celebrate my Irish heritage!)

P.S. I think I might live dangerously and get a McDonald's Shamrock Shake for lunch today!

Ha I was thinking the exact same thing, when is St. Patrick's Day on a Saturday? Then I can definitely celebrate. Our celebration is corned beef and cabbage then watch DVR and pass out!
Super jealous of your 4-leaf-clover pic! Pretty sure EVERY holiday was better in college...I'm a little upset that leap year is going to come and ruin the two-year "St. Patrick's Day Falls On a Weekend" plan I had.
