Obamarama Continues...

Today, Barack Obama clinched the Democratic Party Nomination for President. As I try and reflect on how I feel this will affect the McCain Campaign (which I fully endorse and support), I'm at a loss on how I feel about today's events. Does Obama's nomination ensure a Democratic win this November? Or, is Obama an easier candidate for McCain to dominate and conquer in the debates (and consequently the election) in comparison to Senator Clinton? Finally, with Obama's nomination, how likely is the "Dream Ticket" (Obama/Clinton) to come to fruition?

These are thoughts, among others, swirling around in my little brain today. One item that remains crystal clear, however, is it now truly imperative that McCain win the Presidency. If we fail, I'm not sure how I'll survive the next four years. My thoughts on an Obama Presidency can be observed in a conversation between Chris and I over dinner tonight.

Lindsay: "So I'm not sure how I feel about this Obama nomination"
Chris: "Oh?"
Lindsay: "At least with Hilary- as horrible as she is- I think I could tolerate her. If Obama wins I think I'll want to shoot myself in the face."
Chris: "Yeah, I could see that"
Lindsay: "I mean, Obama is on the entire other end of the political spectrum. I'm trying to think of if there's one thing we even agree on..."
Chris: "Like what- the sky is blue?"
