I've always been a sucker for jazz music... but I just discovered this little lately last week. I can't wait to download her album!
When Melody was 19 years old she was hit by a car and suffered some lasting vision and walking effects from the accident. She reached a point of such discouragement that she told her doctor she didn't want to take anymore medication because nothing was working. He then asked her what her passion was- what made her truly come alive, and Melody's mother mentioned how she enjoyed singing as a young girl and so Melody rediscovered her love for music.
Today, Melody credits the healing power of music for her recovery....
