Glorious Friday

...Friday Happenings...

a) My jewelry made by Laura Gadzik (Wanderlustre) arrived today and it looks fabulous. A few posts ago, I included pictures of my purchases, but since I wrote that I purchased an additional two items (I couldn't resist!). Everything arrived safely and looks so wonderful. I got a lot of compliments on my necklace and earrings today too, which of course always makes the purchases that much better!

The necklace I got compliments on today!

The earrings which also looked so cute!

b) I went to see "The Other Boleyn Girl" which I have been waiting for so patiently to come out for the last three months. I finished the book last week in anticipation of the movie so needless to say, I was very ready. The movie was amazing and truly moved me. My only complaint is that a lot was glossed over... say, the country of England leaving the Catholic faith entirely forever (the entire mention in the movie lasted maybe 30 seconds). However, I was anticipating this as the book covered about 20 years, and there was no way the movie would be able to include all of that in a 2 hour time slot. Additionally, I've never been impressed with Natalie Portman before. She's always just been one of those actresses that "bugs" me. However, I was quite impressed with her in this movie.

Long story short: Go see "The Other Boleyn Girl".... a.s.a.p.

c) After the movie, Chris and I met up at Twigs which I'm quite certain is now my favorite restaurant... most definitely in the Spokane area, and quite possibly the Seattle area too. Each time I've been there I've been thoroughly impressed and satisfied. Tonight I dined on a salmon and brie sandwich- which is the combination of two of my favorite foods EVER.

d) Chris' parents arrive in Cheney tomorrow for Parent's Weekend and I'm very excited to see them. It is likely we will all go see the hypnotist on campus tomorrow night. I haven't seen a hypnotist since my high school graduation's "all-nighter". No plans to participate, of course; I'd rather just remain an amused audience member for my reputation's sake.
